I am a mean mom. Peanut did not have a birthday party this year. I would like to only have parties every other year, but we will see how it goes.
I feel like this year it was the right thing to do because she doesn't really like to exclude people. When she has to pick someone to sit with her at the "special table" at lunch, she finds it stressful.
So we did a bunch of different things to celebrate her birthday, and this is a photo dump from my phone.
Ice Skating was the big thing she wanted to do. She really wanted her brother to go skating with her. Her brother hated it. I loved the determination she felt while trying. She would fall, but get right back up.

Peanut's Birthday
My neighbor may be one of the best neighbors in the world. She always remembers our birthdays. This year, she gave Peanut a bouquet of balloons and gift card to the local store. We promptly bought more Egytian books.
We also rode our bikes and scooters down by the River. Peanut got a camera, that she loves. Her brother was feeling a bit down so I let him play with mine a bit.
This is the cake! or at least kind of what the cake looked like. I did clean up the tray a bit. She wanted an Egyptian Cake.
Happy Birthday Girl with her Birthday Hat.
We went to Chuck-E-Cheese for evening fun. I thought it was interesting that you could sign up for the mouse to send you parenting advice. I gather the mouse is an expert on attachment parenting.
TICKETS!!!! and her new dress she got from her aunty. She loved them both.
This little guy is really into racing cars, which is what he was doing here. I did the pedals and he drove the car.
We opened presents early in the morning. Here she is posing with the dress her auntie bought her.
